Who is semca?
The Southeast Mill Creek Association is one of the City-recognized neighborhood associations in Salem, Oregon. SEMCA encompasses a large section of Southeast Salem bordered by Mission Street and 25th Street extending out to the city limits, This area includes the Airport, Corban University and Salem's third largest park, Cascades Gateway which features a fishing lake and an 18 hole disc golf course.

what can you do with semca?
SEMCA is recognized by the City of Salem to address and provide input to City Council on a wide range of issues including ordinance compliance and land use. You are welcome to bring any concerns you have to our meetings. The City of Salem also consults SEMCA regarding development of services including bus routes, new bond measures and parks development. We look forward to seeing you at the next SEMCA meeting.

   

What has semca accomplished?

Bill RIegel Park
SEMCA worked with the City to get Bill Riegel Park developed.

 

DISC GOLF COURSE AT CASCADES GATEWAY PARK
SEMCA worked with many local sponsors and volunteers to design and create the Disc Golf Course.

 

TURNER ROAD SIDEWALK
SEMCA continued to request, and the opportunity arose to add a sidewalk past Paradise Island Mobile Home Park up to the businesses for safe pedestrian access.

BENCH ALONG THE SIDEWALK
SEMCA heard that a bench would be helpful for pedestrians to rest along the Turner Road sidewalk and talked to the Elks Club who added a bench in front of their property.
